Introduction

Dunsville Medical Centre is committed to providing high quality, safe and effective primary healthcare services to the population we serve. Our practice operates within the principles of the NHS, ensuring care is delivered with compassion, dignity, respect and professionalism.

We work in partnership with patients, carers, healthcare professionals and community organisations to improve health and wellbeing and support people to live healthier, more independent lives.

 

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide accessible, person-centred healthcare that meets the needs of our population and supports patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

We recognise that patients are experts in their own lives and we encourage individuals to take an active role in managing their health and wellbeing. Through education, advice, preventative care and shared decision-making, we aim to empower patients to make informed choices about their care whenever possible.

Services Provided

The practice provides primary medical services under its NHS contract and offers assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of illness and disease.

Services include:

· General medical consultations.

· Management of long-term conditions.

· Chronic disease monitoring and review.

· Health promotion and preventative healthcare.

· Immunisations and vaccinations.

· Cervical screening.

· Family planning and contraceptive advice.

· Minor illness management.

· Home visits for patients who are genuinely housebound.

· Referrals to secondary care and community services.

· Health checks and screening programmes.

· Medication reviews and prescribing services.

The practice also works closely with Primary Care Network colleagues and other healthcare providers to ensure patients receive coordinated care.
